Our Story

Tajbari was born from a simple truth: the world's most beautiful traditional dresses deserve to be worn — not just admired in old photographs.

It started in Lahore, where our founder grew up watching her mother and grandmother craft intricate traditional outfits for every celebration — Eid mornings that smelled of sandalwood and saffron, weddings that glowed in firelight, evenings wrapped in silk that whispered of old courtyards and open skies. When she stepped into a new, modern world, she found herself surrounded by mass-produced fashion with no soul — and traditional dresses that were either too expensive, too hard to find, or poorly made.

So she made them herself. Then for her sisters. Then for her neighbors. Then for thousands of women across the world searching for exactly what she'd been looking for: a dress that felt like home.

Since 2020, Tajbari has quietly and carefully crafted traditional and cultural dresses for women who believe that heritage is something to wear, not just remember. Every stitch carries intention.
